TOMAGO BATTERY - COMMUNITY INFORMATION SESSIONS Community members are invited to drop-in to information sessions about the proposed Tomago Battery Energy Storage System on: Wednesday 29/11-4-6pm at Sir Francis Drake Motel Heatherbrae Saturday 2/12-9-11am at Hunter Region Botanic Gardens AGL Energy is seeking development consent to construct, operate and maintain a Battery Energy Storage System with a capacity of up to 500 megawatts (MW) and up to 2,000 megawatt-hour (MWh) at Tomago in NSW. The location for the proposed battery is between the Pacific Hwy and Old Punt Rd in Tomago Industrial Estate. AGL has submitted an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for this Project to the Department of Planning and Environment (DPE). It is on public display from Thursday,16 November to Wednesday, 13 December 2023. During this time, any person may review the document and make a written submission on the Project to the DPE. AGL will address any issues or questions in a Submissions Report and will work closely with the community and key stakeholders throughout this process.
