PORT STEPHENS COUNCIL Subscribe to our community e-newsletters Visit portstephens.nsw.gov.au/newsletters NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TREAT INFESTATIONS OF AQUATIC WEEDS PERIOD - UP UNTIL 14 DAYS FROM THIS ADVERTISEMENT Notice is given that Port Stephens Council intends to treat infestations of aquatic weeds on or in water in the Campvale Drain and portions of the following rivers occurring in the Port Stephens Council Local Government Area: Hunter River and tributaries from Raymond Terrace to the confluence of the Paterson River. Paterson River and tributaries from the confluence of the Hunter River upstream to the Port Stephens Council boundary. Williams River and tributaries upstream from Raymond Terrace to the Port Stephens Council boundary. Herbicides containing active ingredient 600g/ kg Metsulfuron methyl and/or active ingredient 360g/l glyphosate will be used. Residents in the treatment area should not use, drink or swim in the water during the period of treatment. Small scale reapplications may occur within 30 days of the date of the original treatment.
