About
This is where it all started. Now the home of food, drink and entertainment, Wests started life as the Western Suburbs (N’cle) Leagues Club in New Lambton in September 1960 on the site it still occupies, on the corner of Hobart Road and Tauranga Road in New Lambton.
The club was originally formed to support rugby league; the 200 foundation members and the board of directors started the business to raise money so their team could enter a first division team in the local league, and that team was one of four foundation teams to start the competition that still exists today.
Since those early days, Wests New Lambton has continuously evolved, and now offers the local community a whole host of dining and bar options, as well as regular entertainment and live music.
In terms of food, Wests New Lambton is home to dining options including Chophouse Grill and Emerald Gardens as well as the Wests Food Court offering dining options including The Bistro and New Beijing.
The Hopsmith Bar on level one complements the club bar downstairs, while free live music is offered most weekends at The Marble Bar.
The Club also offers numerous entertainment options for members and guests, including shows, Platinum TAB and Keno Lounge. Wests also offers a full weekly schedule of traditional Club entertainment including bingo and raffles.
