Nelson Bay Baptist Church is, as the name suggests, in Nelson Bay. We are located only a short walking distance from the heart of town and the Nelson Bay Marina from which many of the dolphin and whale watching tours depart. We are part of the wider denomination of Baptist churches which operate nationally and internationally, as a committed member of the Baptist Association of NSW & ACT.
In terms of what we believe and preach, we are a contemporary evangelical church: We are committed to unashamedly declaring Jesus Christ as Lord; Sharing the good news that Jesus has come to save; and practically showing the love of Jesus to all. This commitment extends not only to our friends, family and local community but also across the world as we support projects of social justice as well as friends and family worshiping in all four corners of the globe.
We're small enough in size so that you are not left feeling lost in the crowd but also big enough so you feel that you are a part of a larger community, which makes Nelson Bay Baptist a great place to belong. It offers great friendship, support and a place to connect and to experience in a tangible way the love of Jesus. We love food so not surprisingly much of our time together revolves around meals, with morning tea after the Sunday morning service and also our Men' s Shed nights and women's dinners.
There are people of all ages and from all sorts of backgrounds so finding someone to connect with is easy.
